WEBINAR: TACHOGRAPH MANAGEMENT FOR LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

04/06/2026

With new EU tachograph rules coming into force in July 2026, fleets using light commercial vehicles in international transport will need to comply with driving and rest time requirements or face significant fines. That is why we are pleased to introduce new tachograph management functionality available for FMx150 devices, supporting our business partners with a cost-effective tachograph solution for vans.

VAN FLEETS MUST PREPARE FOR JULY 2026 RULES

From 1 July 2026, light commercial vehicles over 2.5 tonnes used in international transport or cabotage within the EU and AETR will have to comply with driving and rest time regulations and be equipped with a smart tachograph V2. Fleet operators will need to monitor driving time, breaks and rest periods, as well as regularly download and store tachograph data. Failure to comply may result in significant fines and operational disruption. To learn more about the upcoming requirements and their impact on van fleets, read our blog article, “Tachograph rules for vans from July 2026: What changes?”.

STAY COMPLIANT WITHOUT BRINGING VANS BACK TO THE DEPOT

With FMx150 tachograph data reading functionality, fleet owners don’t need to bring vehicles back to the depot to retrieve tachograph data manually. The solution also enables monitoring of tachograph driver status, including driving, other work, availability, breaks and rest periods. Combined with TachoSync, FMx150 devices help to avoid missed download deadlines, automate scheduled workflows, and keep tachograph records securely stored and ready for inspection. To explore the complete solution, read our dedicated use case on remote tachograph data download for vans.

For partners with FMx150 devices already in stock or deployed in the field, there is no need to order new devices. The new tachograph management functionality is available as an additional paid feature and can be added in two ways – upgraded remotely for already purchased devices or preinstalled during manufacturing for new orders.

To help our business partners understand the new rules, market potential, and technical implementation of this functionality, we are hosting two dedicated webinar sessions. Join the session that best suits your language preference and learn how FMx150 devices can support tachograph compliance and wider fleet management needs.
